Sweet poppy stencils.

Proud to be a guest designer on sweet poppy stencils. So looking forward to making some samples with these fantastic stencils. I started making this card just before Christmas. Finally got to finish it today.
Here are the links to the stencils I used.
Such a beautiful designs
Stags head
Leaf background 1
Stamp used from the Noel set
The background was made using distress oxide inks, Twisted Citroen, peeled paint, antique linen and walnut stain. I squished the inks onto my craft mat then sprayed with water. Dabbed a sponge into the ink then dabbed sponge onto the card one at a time drying in between. Dapped peeled paint oxide straight from the pad though the background stencil with a piece of dry sponge. Dabbed the walnut stain oxide though the stencil using a stencil brush. Once dry went over stag image with clear sparkle pen. Used vintage photo ink on the edge of the card then stamped words with potting soil archival ink.
Hope you like it. Thanks for visiting.

Lavinia January challenge

Welcome 2019 I would like to wish you all a happy and peaceful new year.
The January challenge theme is...
A story to be told. You can enter the challenge here.
My story for the my first sample is... The magic of transforming into beauty!
Images used for this project:

I used Distress oxide inks for the sky and ground, Blueprint sketch and faded jeans.
Carved pumpkin for the small butterflies, on the large butterfly and hanging lanterns, I used oxides as watercolour using carved pumpkin and squeezed lemonade. The mushrooms were coloured with a watered mixture of fired brick and candied apple oxide.
Highlighted with white pen. Splattered white acrylic paint onto background.
Stamped the images with versafine black onyx.

My next sample is: A story to be told... inside the mermaid cave.

I have used oxide inks for this project, I started by drawing a faint pencil line
for me to follow as I was trying to make the outside look like a cave. For the sea I used blueprint sketch, salty ocean and tumbled glass. I then used scattered straw for the sandy area, finally went round edge of card with hickory spoke distress oxide. I then stamped the images with different colour versafine Clair inks. Highlighted with sukura clear gel pen.

I hope you have fun creating your story, I look forward to seeing your samples.
Happy crafting.
