Wow! Welcome to October, this year just seems to be flying by.
Well it’s time for the Lavinia challenge, this months theme is Hocus Pocus, entries close on the 25th October.

My first sample was made at a workshop run by the very talented Eileen Godwin. Such an inspiring lady who is happy to share her talent with all.
I used the following Lavinia stamps in my Three samples.

Starting with wild honey DI in the centre of the card using a circular motion, ink up a circle shape. Then used dried marigold for my second layer, then finally used spiced marmalade to completely cover the card. Next I linked ground area with peeled paint DI and a piece of torn paper. I then stamped the moon and the words in peeled paint and the moon in vintage Photo. Using white a little acrylic paint on a wet wipe I brushed across card to give a mystical effect. Used black onyx Versa fine for stamped images.  Highlighted with wink a Stella glitter pen.

Sample 2 was inked with spectrum noir inks. Inked using method in card 1. Spider web heat embossed with silver sparkle embossing powder,  cat and spider inked using black onyx versafine then embossed with crystal clear powder. Fern heads inked with olympic green versafine then embossed with crystal clear powder. Remaining images stamped with onyx black versafine. Finally grounded cat using green spectrum noir ink. Words cracked effect and bats are stencils by Tim Holtz.

Card Three will be my Midmonth reminder. The lacy effect hanging from the tree is the sleeve from the witch. I used this idea last year. For this card I used mustard seed, seedless preserves, broken china and chipped saphire DI. The tree was stamped with acorn versafine Clare ink, then highlighted with an orange sparkle pen.  The rest of the highlighting was done with a silver glitter pen. Remaining images are stamped with black onyx versafine.

Have a spooky time crafting your hocus pocus makes, I look forward to seeing them.
