Card 2 for Sketch Saturday challenge

Good evening.
This is the second card I have done for the sketch Saturday challenge.
I purchased the wood grain effect card a few years ago at ally pally.
It started off a cream colour. I inked this with gathered twigs and vintage photo
Distress inks. For the green moss effect at bottom I used mowed lawn.
The owl sentiment and twig stamp are from hobby art.
I stamped this with versafine onyx black then used wink a Stella pen with distress inks to colour
the owl, the colours I used were mustard seed, vintage photo, gathered twigs, tea dye and rusty hinge.
I dabbed the inks on my craft mat and mixed them together with wink a Stella clear pen then painted images.
Sue Wilson ivy die used cut out on green card then inked with vintage photo.

Hope you like the card.

Sketch Saturday challenge blog.

Sitting eating breakfast on Saturday morning looking at the stamps that I have chosen from my stamp collection to work with this week, have decided to make at least 3 cards per month with stamps I've never used.

Thought I'd look for some sketches to use to design my cards with, came across the sketch Saturday site that I used to go on a few years ago. Then thought I'd design my cards using this weeks sketch and submit them for the challenge.

Card 1

On my first card I used JOFY stamps that I really like but had not used yet.
The background was inked with Tim Holtz distress inks, twisted citreon, mowed lawn, tumbled glass, salty ocean and chipped saffhire. The hive was inked and highliged with vintage photo,
The bee was stamped with versafine black onyx, wings coloured with hickory smoke and carved pumpkin.

Flower stamped with versafine black onyx, coloured with wilted violet, candied Apple, carved pumpkin and pickled raspberry.
Fence stamped with versafine black onyx.
Sun stencil by joggles coloured with white pigment ink and mustard seed.

This is the sketch for this week.

Cards made this week.

Good morning. Thanks for popping by.

Little bit overcast here in London so thought I'd share some cards with you.

Been a very busy at work this week but managed to get card finished for work colleagues.

This card is a little similar to one I made a few weeks ago for a colleague that is leaving to start new career at different school.

Used the same background technique, this was done by brushing the distress ink over the card using torn paper to get the island shape, and a post it note cut into a circle for the sun. Dabbed acrylic paint along edge of ocean to give some texture. Images are from miss Kate cuttables.

One of the ladies was celebrating her 50th birthday so Easel card with gold tones.
Everybody loves these cards. They always look so pretty and are easy to make a4 size.
Used scan n cut to cut out lettering.

Happy Saturday!!
