Hello friends
Hope you are all enjoying the summer.
I am on holiday with family and friends, having a great time, but thought I'd pop on the blog with a reminder that there is still time to participate in the August lavinia stamps challenge. the theme this month is Blue and orange hues. dont forget the fabulous prize is a £40 voucher to spend in the Shop. there is a large variety of products that can be purchased. the winner is picked randomly so everyone has a chance of winning. for full details please follow the link,
Lavinia August Challenge
For my Mid-month sample, I used the following products
http://laviniastamps.com/product/chinese-lantern/
http://laviniastamps.com/product/hanging-lanterns/
http://laviniastamps.com/product/stars-2/
http://laviniastamps.com/product/three-dancing-fairies/
I also used the following stencil designed by Lavinia stamps.
Chinese Lantern
I used Spiced marmalade distress oxide ink to stamp the chinese lanterns
I also used this to colour the stencil design.
The hanging lantern, words and stars were inked with faded jeans oxide ink.
The background was inked with broken china oxide that was placed on mat, spritzed with water then twisted in a circular motion, loved the way it looked like the moon in the centre so left it as it was,
highlighted edge with spiced marmalade, highlighted hanging lanterns with orange gel pen, finally used white pen on chinese lanterns
Good luck with your entries.
